【摘要】:Dataobtainedbythistestmethodmaybeusedtopredictthebehaviorofplasticsheetingatlowtemperaturesonlyiftheconditionsofdeformationaresimilartothosespecifiedinthistestmethod.Thistestmethodisusefulforspecificationtestingandforcomparativepurposes,butdoesnotnecessarilymeasurethelowesttemperatureatwhichtheplasticsheetingmaybeused.Ithasbeendemonstratedthatoncalenderedsheetingthebrittlenesstemperatureissensitivetothedirectionoffold.Ithasalsobeendemonstratedthatthebrittlenesstemperatureissensitivetothedirectionofsampling.Therefore,itisimperativethattheprocedurefortakingspecimensandfoldingbefollowedexplicitly.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthattemperatureatwhichplasticsheeting1.00mm(0.040in.)orlessinthicknessexhibitsabrittlefailureunderspecifiedimpactconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note18212;ThistestmethodwasdevelopedjointlywiththeSocietyofthePlasticsIndustry,primarilyforusewithplasticizedvinylsheetings.Itsapplicabilitytootherplasticsheetingsmustbeverifiedbytheuser.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote4.Note38212;ThistestmethodissimilartoISO8570-1991intitleonly.Thetechnicalcontentissignificantlydifferent.
