【摘要】:1ContextofthescopeISO/IEC13522specifiesthecodedrepresentationofmultimedia/hypermediainformationobjects(MHEGobjects)forinterchangeasfinalformunitswithinoracrossservicesandapplications,byanymeansofinterchangeincludinglocalareanetworks,wideareatelecommunicationorbroadcastnetworks,storagemedia,etc.MHEGobjectscanbeproducedbycomputertoolstakingassourceformmultimediaapplicationsdesignedusingmultimediascriptinglanguages.Inthiscontext,theMHEGscript(orprogram)classesareintendedtocomplementtheotherMHEGclassesinexpressingthefunctionalitycommonlysupportedbyscriptinglanguages.Script(orprogram)objectsexpressmorepowerfulcontrolmechanismsanddescribemorecomplexrelationshipsamongMHEGobjectsthancanbeexpressedbyMHEGactionandlinkobjectsalone.Furthermore,script(orprogram)objectsexpressaccesstoandinteractionwithexternalservicesprovidedbytherun-timeenvironment.ISO/IEC13522-5definestheMHEGobjectclassesforinterchangeanduseinbase-levelapplicationsintendedtoberunonlimitedresourceterminalssuchasset-top-boxesinsuchcontextsasinteractivebroadbandservices.ISO/IEC13522-5definesthecodedrepresentationforprogramobjectsinanopenmannersothatprogramobjectsmayencapsulateeitherstandardisedorproprietaryprogramcode.ISO/IEC13522-5allowsprogramobjectstoincludeorreferenceprogramsthatmaybeencodedinanyencodingformatasdefinedbytheapplicationdomain.2ScopeofthispartofISO/IEC13522ThescopeofthispartofISO/IEC13522istodefinethesemanticsandfinal-formcodedrepresentationfortheinterchangeofenhancedinteractivemultimediaapplications.TheseapplicationsextendapplicationscoveredbyISO/IEC13522-5inincorporatingfunctionalitysuchascomputing(dataprocessing)andextendedcommunicationwiththeexternalenvironment,includingservers,localdevices,etc.Theseapplicationsmaybeexploitedinanycommunicationenvironmentincludingbroadcast-onlymode,interactiveclient-serverorpeer-to-peer(conversational).However,themainfocusisoninteractiveretrieval(client-server)applicationsrunningonlimitedresourceset-top-unitsinvolvingasymmetricaldatainterchangewithreal-timeaudiovisualsonthedownstreamchannel.ThecodedrepresentationdefinedbythispartofISO/IEC13522specialisesthecodedrepresentationdefinedbyISO/IEC13522-5.Especially,thispartofISO/IEC13522definesthecodedrepresentationfortheOriginalContentattributeoftheMHEG-5InterchangedProgramclass.Inaddition,thispartofISO/IEC13522definestheAppletclass;thissubclassofInterchangedProgramfeaturestheabilitytomanageitsowndisplayandinteraction,bydelegationfromtheengine.Theresultingcodedrepresentationis-compatiblewiththatdefinedbyISO/IEC13522-5;-appropriateforexecutiononaset-top-unitwiththesameminimalresourceconstraintsasexpressedbyISO/IEC13522-5.ThispartofISO/IEC13522specifies-theinterchangeformatfortheOriginalContentattributeoftheMHEG-5InterchangedProgramclass;-thesemanticsofthiscodedrepresentation;-thecodedrepresentationandsemanticsoftheAppletclass;-thesemanticextensionstotheMHEG-5enginebehaviourdescribedbyISO/IEC13522-5;-thesemanticrestrictionsontheMHEG-5interchangeformatdescribedbyISO/IEC13522-5;-theMHEG-5API,whichallowsthecodeofanInterchangedProgramobjecttocallupontheMHEG-5engine'spresentationfunctionality;-theprovisionsforinterworkingbetweentheMHEG-5engineexecutionmodelandtheexecutionmodelthatunderliestheprogramcontentinterchangeformat.MHEGenginesaresystemorapplicationcomponentsthathandle,interpretandpresentMHEGobjects.ThispartofISO/IEC13522specifiesthesemanticsoftheMHEG-6codedrepresentation.Thesesemanticsaredefinedintermsof
