【摘要】:Thetestisdesignedtoquantifytheamountofdustcontrolmaterialaddedtocalcinedcoke.Thedustcontrolmaterialisappliedtocalcinedcoketohelpmaintainadust-freeenvironment.Itgenerallyservesnootherusefulpurpose.Itaddsweighttothecokeandcanhaveanegativeeffectonthequalityofcarbonandgraphiteartifactsmadefromthetreatedcoke.Forthesereasonsthecokecustomerwantstoknowtheamountofdustcontrolmaterialonthecokeandcanspecifyamaximumlevel.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheamountofmaterialappliedtocalcinedcoketocontroldustassociatedwithcokehandlingandtransportation.1.2ThistestmethodislimitedtothosematerialsthataresolubleinasolventthatcanbeusedinaSoxhletextractiontypeofapparatussuchasmethylenechloride(dichloro-methane).Note18212;Methylenechlorideisthemostpopularsolventforremovingdustcontroloilatthetimethisprocedureisbeingwritten.Tolueneandmethylchloroform,however,havebeenusedwithequalresultsonallcokestestedwhichhaveincludedonlythosesprayedwitharomaticorwaxymaterials.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
