【摘要】:ThispartofISO14855specifiesamethodfordeterminingtheultimateaerobicbiodegradabilityofplasticmaterialsundercontrolledcompostingconditionsbygravimetricmeasurementoftheamountofcarbondioxideevolved.Themethodisdesignedtoyieldanoptimumrateofbiodegradationbyadjustingthehumidity,aerationandtemperatureofthecompostingvessel.Themethodappliestothefollowingmaterials:—naturaland/orsyntheticpolymersandcopolymers,andmixturesofthese;—plasticmaterialsthatcontainadditivessuchasplasticizersorcolorants;—water-solublepolymers;—materialsthat,underthetestconditions,donotinhibittheactivityofmicro-organismspresentintheinoculum.Ifthetestmaterialinhibitsmicro-organismsintheinoculum,anothertypeofmaturecompostorpre-exposurecompostcanbeused.
